NSPCL's rich human resource is the core strength of the company with its committed workforce realizing the business goals the Company. Human Resources Function of NSPCL is a fusion of progressive HR policies of both NTPC and SAIL (the promoter companies of NSPCL). It rests on four building blocks of HR viz. Competence building, Commitment building, Culture building And System building. All HR initiatives are undertaken within this broad framework to actualize the HR vision of enabling employees to be a family of committed world class professionals.

To induct talent and groom them into a dedicated cadre of power professionals, executives of the company are recruited in various disciplines and are given training inputs comprising of theoretical well as on – the job modules. The new recruits are also attached with senior executives and mentored thoroughly for integration into company culture. Besides, the company undertakes multilevel recruitments in executive and non-executive cadre from time to time and integrates new inductees through post employment training and culture building programmes.

As a part of competence building and development employees are exposed to various need based training programmes and other planned interventions. In order to enhance the creativity, innovation, function aptitude and teamwork of our employees, opportunities are also provided to them to participate in seminars, workshops, management games, quizzes, professional circle, quality circle etc.
