Seventh O&M Meet
NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd. (NSPCL), a joint venture of NTPC & SAIL, organized its 7th O&M Meet on 13th July’19 at Bhilai. The theme of the meet was “O&M Challenges for Reliable Operation of Old Thermal Power Plants”. This O&M meet aimed to bring together the power plant professionals on a common platform to share the challenges being faced and also challenges overcome by them, sharing each other’s experiences & initiatives taken. The event was inaugurated by Sh. Anirban Dasgupta, CEO Bhilai Steel Plant, Sh. R.P.Tripathy, Member (Technical)-DVC, Sh. C.V Anand, ED(OS)-NTPC, Sh.A.K.Sharma,Member-CSERC & Sh.K.R.C.Murthy,Member-CSPGCL The event was attended by the participants from NSPCL, NTPC, SAIL, DVC, Tata Power, BPSCL,CESC,ACB,BALCO and BPSCL. Shri P.K. Bondriya, CEO, NSPCL, welcomed all the dignitaries, participants from NSPCL stations & from various organizations.The meet was highly appreciated as an excellent tool for continual improvement.
Eighth O&M Meet
8th O&M Meet is schedule in the month of Jan'23 with the theme: " Improvement in reliability, efficiency & Cost Optimization of Thermal Power Plants."

The theme of the meet was “Integration of Renewable Generation with Captive Power Plants-Opportunities & Challenges". This O&M meet aimed to bring together the power plant professionals on a common platform to share the challenges being faced and also challenges overcome by them, sharing each other’s experiences & initiatives taken. The event was inaugurated by Shri K.K. Sharma, Chairman, NSPCL & Director (Operation), NTPC & attended by the directors of the company and participants from NSPCL, NTPC, DVC and BPSCL. Shri Manash Sarkar, CEO, NSPCL, welcomed all the directors of NSPCL & participants from sites, NTPC offices, BPSCL, Member Technical (DVC) & other members. The meet was highly appreciated as an excellent tool for continual improvement. During discussions after presentations by participants, areas were identified and action plans chalked out for facing challenges posed to conventional thermal power plants by integration of renewable energy and for continuous improvement.
